REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) is conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching posts in Classes 1 to 8 in Rajasthan government schools.

• Validity: REET certificate is valid for lifetime (as per new NCTE norms)

 Level 1 (Classes 1 to 5 – Primary Teacher):

Education Qualification (any one of the following):

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

• OR Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and 2-year D.El.Ed (in accordance with NCTE, 2002 norms)

• OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

• OR Graduation and 2-year D.El.Ed

 Level 2 (Classes 6 to 8 – Upper Primary Teacher):

Education Qualification (any one of the following):

• Graduation and passed or appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

• OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed

• OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed

• OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed (in accordance with NCTE norms)
